STRUGGLING Shipston caused a form upset with this
richly deserved success at The Crofts.
Leamingtonians, joint top of the Division Four West
(South) table, went into the match boosted by six consecutive wins and with
only two defeats behind them. But Shipston, slumped deep in the relegation dog
fight, displayed commendable enthusiasm to emerge with two valuable
points.
Harsh conditions rarely promised a game of free
flowing rugby and it was surprising that Leamingtonians, given the flair of
their back line, should opt to take on Shipston in a raw forward battle. It was
a disastrous tactic and the visitors happily cashed in.

It was so cold and wet that it was amazing that 23 under 7s turned up. Well done to you all !! We had more than twice as many as Broadstreet so Rachael (spelled right after she gave me a b*****king last time) organised two games calling them the Panthers and the Jaguars.
The Jaguars played first and we narrowly lost 6 tries to 4. One of their tries was scored by our player who we had lent to them!
The Jaguars then played resulting in a creditable draw 3-3.
Our lad's handling in both games was remarkable considerable how cold and slippy the ball was. See below for scorers.
