Congratulations to Old Leamingtionian Andy Hall who completed the London Marathon yesterday with his girlfriend Charlotte Rudge. They ran the gruelling race in aid of Cancer Research UK. It is of course still possible to donate. Just ask Andy! Well done.

Ol’s played at home against Burton.
OL
5 – Burton
20. Tom Eales scored for OL’s.
Man of the match was awarded to all players.
Up against a good side, OL’s played one of their best
all season.. A superb chip, chase and gather from Tom Eales saw the fly half
score the only try for OL’s just before half time. Unfortunately, Burton was the better side
in the second half.

TALENTED full-back Robbie Ridler gorged himself on
six tries as Leamingtonians ended a hot-cold Division Four West (South) season
on the warmest possible note.
The Crofts devotees were treated to a spectacular
running performance to banish memories of the previous week's dismal
capitulation against Evesham.
Saturday provided thrilling evidence that
there could be good times ahead if the young side is able to stay together and
develop. The backs were in cavalier mood from the off, Ridler displaying
speed and skill, Simon Magill, Dave Canning and Ian Mould all making telling
breaks, with superb support from back row stalwart Ian Rowley who was able to
mastermind second phase quick and quality ball to enable Ridler to spread his
tries to both sides of the field.

In a very competitive game against the Kenilworth Medics a determined Crowd Pleasers XV emerged victorious to win the clubs first silverware of the year.
On a warm, dry evening played under natural light, OL’s Crowd Pleasers put together a solid performance to become only the second winners of the Warwickshire Double-Tops Shield. The conditions, in stark contrast to the games which lead to the final, encouraged a fast flowing game, resulting in a stunning display of 15-man rugby from both sides. Finishing 6-3 to the Crowd Pleasers.
