Taking a break from league action old Leams’ players Danni Benge, Karen Coleman, Pip Colenutt, and coach, Caz Lambert ran the Lady Godiva Half Marathon in Coventry on 21st October, raising hundreds of pounds for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support. Pip Colenutt, who plays flanker/front row for OLs, came in with a time of 1h57mins. "It was exhausting but very rewarding, and raising money for charity made it all worthwhile".

Jane Daniel, the Ladies chairwoman said "I am very proud of our Ladies’ achievements and the money they raised. I also hope that we can use this fitness to our advantage in this season's league campaign."
Old Leams are not new to energetic charity events, with a team entered in the Cancer Research Relay for Life, a 24 hour sponsored walk hosted at the club in August 2007 where they raised over £800.

Sunday November 23rd at the club from 10.00am

The gum shield is the most important piece of equipment a rugby player should own.

gumshield.pngThe gum shield not only protects your teeth and gums, it can reduce damage around the jaw and your chances of getting concussed.

As every mouth is different, so every gum shield should be moulded to fit perfectly around the top half of a player's mouth.

The best way of doing this is to see your local club dentist, who will make sure the shield is right for your mouth.

Roy Dixon, Dentist of this parish, will be available at the club to take impressions for perfectly moulded blue-and-gold gum shields.

£25 cash for complete piece of mind
