OL’s took 24 players to Rugby Lions which resulted in two games taking place:   Game 1: Rugby Lions 5 OL 20 Game 2: Rugby Lions 40 OL 15 Game1   In the first game an experienced OL team produced a very strong performance with some excellent mauling and rucking work and some attractive attacking play to take a 20 nil lead. Of equal note was some superb defensive work especially from the backs with the contributions of wingers Rory Sinnott and James Perkins worthy of special mention. The boys commitment was shown in their disappointment when Rugby scored a last minute consolation.   Try scorers: Aiden O’Keefe, George Esworthy, James Perkins and Toby Whelan Players of the match: James Perkins and Rory Sinnott Best Support: Angus Firth and George Esworthy   Game 2   In the second game an OL team with a number of less experienced players produced a strong first half performance to lead 10-5 at the interval. In the second half despite notable contributions from Jake Byrne, Oliver Webb and a sterling display of committed tacking from Alex Richards, Rugby Lions ran away with the match to win 40-15.  OLs showed great spirit towards the end of the match and rallied together, almost scoring a try in the dying seconds, but they just couldn’t break the strong Lions’ defence.   Try Scorers: Ben Piggins and Jake Byrne (2).
