OLs U9s prepared for the annual Christmas Party, with a festive feast of Rugby at home to Keresley on Sunday.

The visitors delayed arrival meant that only two games could be played, but ensured that OLs were champing at the bit for the start.

The usual high standard of defence was maintained with barely a tackle missed in the first game as OLs ran out winners by 20 - 10., despite a brave effort from Ks. George Hawkes led the way with a hat-trick of tries, the other coming from a rejuvenated Sam Beards.

The second match saw a complete change of personnel for OLs and a spectacular performance highlighted by excellent mauling supplying a regular amount of turnover ball. Callum Dixon, Harry Gwynne and Sennen Scobie were to the fore in the loose. Josh Allen scored three tries, Kieran Brophy two, with James McSharry adding a try in a 30 - 10 win.
