Leamington - U8s

Passing, direct running, great support, determined defence and even occasional positional discipline were on display on a crisp sunny morning as the U8s made the short away trip to local rivals Leamington. After a wait for the ground to thaw, all players really made an effort resulting in two victories and a large beaming smile from head coach, Fraser Hoare. All travelling players got a game and each OLs team that went out played for each other, moving the ball around and supporting the runners. Maybe they are listening in training after all! Game 1: Leamington 25 – Old Leams 35 (Tom Hoare 3, Benedict Lloyd, Sam Farrow, George Smith, Will Johnson on his debut)   Game 2 Leamington 35 – Old Leams 15 (Kai Bailey 2, Tom Fawcett)   Game 3 Leamington 15 – Old Leams 25 (Harriett Lee 2, George Smith, Benedict Lloyd, Tom Fawcett)   One parent was quoted as saying ‘I would have paid to watch that’ but this rash idea was quickly quashed by others………Very well played to all the U8s.
