OLs started strongly but were disrupted by early injuries to Guy Elston and Steve Cooke. They regrouped and after sustained pressure eventually scored a good breakaway try by the fleet footed Murray Styles, Simon Noakes adding the conversion.
The second half saw lots of OLs possession but the final pass always went astray and Warwickians capitalised on this by scoring a converted try of their own. The game petered out as a draw with OLs unable to convert their superiority into points. One highlight was the welcome return of Gary (Harpo) Marks in the front row alongside club President, Mike Hemming – youth policy working well!!
