Having had a false start two weeks ago, OLs U10s finally got under way on Sunday at Alcester. The failure of Berkswell & Balsall to show two weeks ago, meant that the U10s had six weeks training and were champing at the bit to play a competitive match.

There were signs of rustiness in the first match, as Alcester made a solid start, and their teamwork was initially superior. They scored first, but OLs came back strongly and equalised through Will Fawcett.

In the second half, OLs beagn to win more ball and continued to play an expansive game, and after a number of near misses, finally scored the winning try, again through Will Fawcett, to edge to victory by 10 - 5.

In the rematch, a completely different team took on Alcester, and were on top from the start. An early try was scored by Josh Blight, and Alcester held on with some excellent defence. A try for Sennen Scobie after half-time ensured OLs eased to a 10 - 0 win.

A shorter third match gave everyone another run out. Alcester's rucking, which had been excellent all day, put OLs on the back foot, and the home team scored an excellent try. A few fumbles frustrated OLs, and they could not score, giving Alcester a deserved victory by 5 - 0.
