A slow start by OLs enabled the quick youthful backs of Rugby St Andrews to run in 2 converted tries. Sound defence kept out any further scores before half-time. A rousing team talk saw OLs return to the fray all fired up. Sound tactical kicking enabled OLs to camp in the Rugby St Andrews half. A period of continuous pressure led to an excellent backs move culminating in full back Rod Capp scoring his first try for the club. Further pressure led to a forwards penalty move being apparently held up over the goalline but stand off Chris Joyner nimbly peeled off with the ball in hand to power over the try line. Paul Towey converted both tries. OLs almost squeezed a win in the final minute with a penalty kick just floating wide. This performance and comeback was yet another example of the gtreat fighting spirit currently resident in the 3rd team.
