This is the first Newsletter of an occasional series regarding Senior Richard Selwyn Chairman of -------------------------------- The future of touring with OLs?
This year you may have noticed that the Senior Men do not have a tour planned. Reasons are at least twofold a) no one willing to organise, b) the Club Chairman keen that we do not have one this season Note that the Minis, Juniors and Ladies have various tours planned and in hand. There is the opportunity to enter a Beach Rugby tournament in Newquay in the summer. Is anyone interested in finding out more? Anyone interested in organising? If the players want a tour next year then someone needs to step forward to help organise it. What do you want? -------------------------------- Merchandising Standard blue socks are available from Parkinsons in . A few pairs of blue shorts are available from stock held at the club.

The Extra 1st XV, the Ladies, Colts, and Under 17’s are all wearing kit sourced from local company Top2inches. Prices are slightly cheaper - £33 shirt, £10 shorts and £5 socks – looking to order as soon as min qty reached – chest/waist sizes and names to go on shirt asap please with a £10 deposit if ordering a shirt.

STOP PRESS: Mens Dinner – planning is rushing ahead for end of season dinner. Awaiting confirmation of speaker
– all constructive comments welcomed – last year the emphasis from the players was a) on Coaching from within the club, and b) the development of the Gym for indoor training. Other ideas that have arisen during the last three months include full floodlights, portable floodlights for training, and a minibus for away games and use as club taxi.-------------------------------- Captains Corner The season is half over, we're 6 points adrift in the League and we’re assured of not being relegated. The Leagues are being reorganised and it is important to finish as high up as possible. Please come training on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at 7.00 sharp. Luke Staton, First XV Captain
