An early impressive start by OLs failed to produce any points, with Alcester gaining the spoils in the first half resulting in two tries.
The second half saw OLs playing with the slope advantage. This created many scoring opportunities with No. 8 Rob Smith following up a break from Ryan Collins to go over the line under the post, Collins converting.
Minutes later an impressive backs move involving Tom Eales and Adam Thompson saw the latter score and a try awarded by the referee only to be disallowed by the ref because the home side’s linesman appealed!!!! Justice was done however when a magic, fleet footed 40 yard run by Ryan Collins evaded many despairing tackles to score the winning try.
