Old Leamingtonians Under 11s started their season with a trip to
Lichfield
, for a hastily arranged fixture, following the late withdrawal of Berkswell & Balsall.
The size of both squads enabled four games to be played. In the first OLs dominated from the start, and eased to a 19 – 7 victory, with two tries from Kieran Brophy, and one from debutant Sam Forster, who also added two conversions. Game two also ended in a win for OLs by 15 – 7, with tries by George Hawkes and two for Kyriakos Grammatopoulos. The third game ended with a narrow victory for the hosts, by 17 – 14. Ols scored tries through Alex Smith and Grammatopoulos, with the extras added by Smith and Josh Blight. The final game saw a titanic struggle with OLs attack, held in check by stout
Lichfield
defence. The match finished 0 – 0.
OLs travel to Droitwich next Sunday.
