Old Leams quickly took up the challenge. Good forward possession together with quick ball out from the half backs saw a centre crash and offload to No.13 Cawail Wong who darted some 20 metres to score. OLs second try came again from a good passage of forward play with Chris Joyner breaking down the left flank and a timely pass allowed Martin Boag to sprint past the full back to touch down under the posts.

Old Leams third score started from a break out from No.8 Boote who floated an overhead double miss pass to Wong who took his opportunity well securing his second try of the afternoon. The first half was rounded off with prop Nick Sandy bulldozing his way over the line. Joyner converted 3 of the four tries. Half time score 26- 0 .

Manor Park regrouped in the second half pinning Old Leams within their 22 for a solid ten minutes. Their hardwork paid off when some lacklustre tackling allowed them to go over for a converted try. The home side quickly responded with runs up the centre of the park from Boote and Cookie. Quick recycled ball saw Joyner stretch his legs, running in from half way to score and then convert, Steve Cook scored a further try. OL's, perhaps somewhat over confident attempted to run the ball out of their 22 and were caught out with an interception giving Manor a further 7 points.

The last points of the afternoon came from "man of the match" Joyner who again sprinted from half way to touch down and convert.
