Old Leamingtonians travelled to Alcester for their first game of the season. 21 players travelled and discovered that Alcester would require 2 of them to help make up their 15. Congratulations go to Mike Putt and Tom McLoughlin, who both played a half at hooker for Alcester and to Harry Palmer and James Harley how both played a half in the 2nd row for Alcester.From the outset it was apparent that the fixture would be something a mismatch and the Old Leams under 13's ran away with 56 un-answered points. Highlight of the match was the electric storm it was played in, the game having to be held up during its course as we all ran for cover when a lightening strike occurred in the field next-door |
